Kenna, another drone photographer, uses aerial photography to capture interesting contrasts between solid objects and shadows. Kenna is a freelancer photographer who has worked for such publications as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe,and others.

Kenna captured “Spring Maple Tree Shadow”, in Weybridge Vermont. He has been using a drone to capture the beautiful natural scenery of Vermont for three years. You would think that this photo was of a man who fell off the side a building. When you look closely, it’s a cleverly positioned photo of a man on a tennis field. The photo, taken by a DJI Spark with the Dronestagram 2018 contest, won first place in the “People Category”.

Martin Sanchez took the photo. It was taken in New Jersey. The photographer claimed that he saw the tennis court as he was driving and immediately stopped, realizing the background’s crisp blue color would make a great photo. Dronestagramjudges clearly agreed.
