Drones used by consumers to take these incredible photos

64. Outer Space Flamingos

DJI MAVIC 2 PRO: Possible Drone used?
Where to buy: DJI Drones
Cost: $1,449*

Paul McKenzie won an award at the Siena Drone Photo Awards 2020 for his “Outer Space Flamingos”. It also has one of the most original titles. McKenzie is an Irish photographer who has captured many photos of these beautiful birds. He often lays in mud to capture a great shot.

The photo “Outer Space Flamingos”, taken in the East African Soda Lakes (a series of alkaline, flamingo-friendly lakes), was taken by a photographer at these alkaline Lakes. The dark, galaxy-like lake behind the birds was created by the birds stamping their feet on the black mud of the lakebed. This helps to stir up the food at the bottom. This photo may have been taken by a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone, which is a good choice for the humid, hot climates surrounding the Soda lakes.

65. Entrance to Hell

Possible Drone Use: PowerVision Explorer
Best Buy
Cost: $799*

Xiaoxiao Xiaoxiao took this haunting photo, appropriately titled “Entrance to Hell.” The picture wouldn’t exist without a great deal of effort. Liu walked 40 miles in two days to get the perfect shot of the Kilauea Volcano. The Volcano, located on Big Island in Hawaii, was undergoing an eruption.

The lava flowed out into the Pacific creating a smoky contrast between the sea and lava. PowerVision PowerEgg is one drone that could be used. It is rugged enough to withstand an atmosphere such as the one around Kilauea. The camera uses 4K Ultra HD and is AI-enhanced.
