A crowd formed
When he arrived, he found a large group gathered around the storm drain. The police kept everyone at safe distance. Dave noticed something else. The German Shepherd entered the crowd in order to reach the drain. Then he jumped in the drain. Dave was horrified and worried about the safety of the dog. He was aware of the creature living in the sewers, and he feared that the dog’s safety would be at risk. The cops would not let him come close. He desperately wanted to help. He watched in horror as the dog disappeared into darkness.
Dave was confident that the creature could take care of it’s own needs, but was still worried. He hoped the dog could make it out alive. He was waiting impatiently for the dog’s exit from the drain. The dog emerged unharmed from the drain after what seemed an eternity. The dog was reunited to its owner and everyone cheered.
