Police Involvement
Dave was asked a few questions by the police when they arrived. Dave was the only person who saw what was in that drain. Dave didn’t know what he had seen, but one thing was certain. This beast was dangerous. He was so terrified that he ran down the sewers without knowing what he’d find. Dave’s involvement was immediately suspected by the police. Dave was afraid to answer. He was afraid they wouldn’t accept what he said.
He didn’t know what he found in the sewers. He was scared of what he would find. Dave described how he carefully walked through the sewers looking for the creature. When he finally emerged from the sewers, he was even happier. He described how the experience had left him shaken. He was still afraid of what he saw, but he was determined not to give up. He was determined to discover what lurked in the sewers.
